Oracle NetSuite 2026.1 is here, and it brings the most significant batch of AI features in NetSuite’s history alongside meaningful improvements to financial close, supply chain management, pricing automation, and platform security. Production upgrades began rolling out in mid-February 2026 and continue through April 2026.

1. Rollout Timeline

NetSuite 2026.1 production upgrades started in mid-February 2026 and will continue through the end of April 2026. Your exact upgrade date depends on your account schedule—check the New Release Portlet on your Home dashboard for your specific date.

You can request a Release Preview test account through Setup > Company > Release Preview to test new features against your own data, workflows, and customizations before the upgrade hits production. We strongly recommend doing this, especially if your business relies on custom scripts, integrations, or revenue recognition workflows.

If your account is on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you can reschedule your upgrade through the Customer-Scheduled Maintenance (CSM) page.

2. AI-Powered Financial Management

The 2026.1 release makes a clear statement: AI is no longer an add-on in NetSuite. It is being embedded directly into core financial workflows.

Intelligent Close Manager

The standout feature in NetSuite 2026.1 is the Intelligent Close Manager, a new dashboard portlet that gives finance teams a centralized, real-time view of period-end activity. Rather than tracking close checklists in spreadsheets or manually reconciling items, finance teams now get:

AI Payment Date Prediction

NetSuite can now predict when invoices will be paid based on historical payment behavior. Three new fields are available: Predicted Payment Date, Predicted Overdue Days, and Prediction Availability. This is a practical tool for cash flow forecasting—if your business manages inventory purchasing, vendor terms, or paid media spend, accurate payment timing reduces working capital pressure.

AI-Enhanced Bank Reconciliation

Bank transactions matching now leverages generative AI to extract richer, more structured data from bank feeds. Consigned Inventory Management

One of the most meaningful additions in 2026.1 is native support for consignment inventory. Previously, companies managing vendor-owned stock at their own facilities relied on custom workflows and manual journal adjustments. NetSuite now provides dedicated support for tracking vendor-owned inventory with separate accounting for assets and cost of goods sold.

Current limitation: The feature does not yet support Assembly Items or NetSuite WMS.

NetSuite AI Connector Service (MCP Integration)

This is a landmark feature. NetSuite now integrates with leading AI platforms—including Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible system—through the new AI Connector Service. This protocol-driven integration layer allows AI agents to securely access NetSuite data and functionality using natural language prompts, while fully conforming to NetSuite’s role-based security model.

• AI systems can request NetSuite operations—data retrieval, transactional actions, record creation—directly
• SDN Partners can build and monetize AI-powered SuiteApps
• A new Custom Tool Script Type allows developers to build tools invokable by external AI clients
• The MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp provides ready-made tools for common operations

SuiteCloud Developer Assistant

A new AI-driven coding companion integrates with Visual Studio Code via the Cline plugin. Developers can generate SuiteScript 2.1 code (including unit tests) using natural language prompts, generate SDF objects, explain or refactor existing code, and follow SuiteScript API standards and TypeScript definitions.

REST API Parity with SOAP

REST APIs move to full functional parity with SOAP web services in 2026.1, including new batch operations. If you are building new integrations, REST is now the default choice.

SOAP Endpoint Policy Change

Starting with NetSuite 2026.1, Oracle will no longer provide a new SOAP web services endpoint with each release. This is a clear signal to begin migrating legacy SOAP integrations to REST.

The legacy NetSuite.com data source is removed in 2026.1. If any of your saved searches, reports, or analytics references depend on this legacy source, they need to be updated before the upgrade.

SuiteTax & Localization

There are no more updates to the Legacy Tax Engine as NetSuite continues its transition toward SuiteTax. If you are still on the Legacy Tax Engine, this is another signal to evaluate your migration timeline. The release also includes localization updates, particularly for Latin American markets.

11. How to Prepare for NetSuite 2026.1

1. Request your Release Preview account. Test critical business processes—especially custom scripts, integrations, saved searches, and revenue recognition workflows—against the 2026.1 environment.
2. Audit your integrations. Review all TBA-based integrations and begin planning OAuth 2.0 migration. Check integration certificate counts. Verify the NetSuite2.com data source change won’t break existing reports.
3. Evaluate the AI features. The Intelligent Close Manager and payment prediction are the most immediately actionable. Determine which features align with your workflows and test them in sandbox.
4. Review pricing and inventory. If you manage complex pricing across multiple customer tiers or operate consignment models, these features could replace existing workarounds and reduce customization debt.
5. Test revenue recognition changes. If you use ARM, any changes to revenue allocation or reporting behavior should be validated carefully. Revenue processes are critical.
6. Communicate with your team. Brief your finance, operations, and IT teams on what is changing. The biggest risk is missing features that could replace older workarounds already embedded in your system.
